Who should not fast (or only with a doctor)
Fasting is not for everyone. Check this list before you start.
bitetracking is a tracking tool, not a medical treatment. Talk to a health professional before fasting if:
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You are under 18.
- You have or had an eating disorder.
- You have diabetes, especially if you use insulin or glucose-lowering drugs.
- You take medicines that must be taken with food.
- You are underweight, or have kidney, liver or heart disease, or gout.
Signs to stop
Strong dizziness, fainting, palpitations, confusion or discomfort that does not go away: end your fast, eat something, and get checked if it happens again.
