Support for GLP-1 treatments: semaglutide and tirzepatide
Log every dose and injection site, your symptoms, protein and strength training. Free, ad-free, and never a substitute for your doctor.
GLP-1 medications such as semaglutide and tirzepatide strongly reduce appetite. That helps you eat less, but it also makes it easy to eat too little protein, drink too little and lose muscle along with fat. bitetracking supports the day-to-day of the treatment your doctor prescribed: it never suggests or adjusts a dose.
What you can log
- Every dose: the medication, the dose you were prescribed, the date and time.
- The injection site (abdomen, thigh or arm, each side), with the last one in view so you can rotate.
- A reminder for the next dose and an estimated medication level based on its half-life, for reference only.
- Today's symptoms: nausea, fullness, constipation, reflux, tiredness and more, each with a tip and when to call your doctor.
- Your trend weight since the first dose, without the daily noise.
Eating well with a small appetite
With less hunger, every meal matters more. The app adds up the day's protein, fiber and fluids and compares them with a target, so you quickly see if you are falling short. Guidance from nutrition and obesity societies puts protein first at every meal, vegetables and legumes for fiber, and water through the day.
Strength, twice a week
In studies of these medications, part of the weight lost is lean mass. Strength training helps protect it. With one tap the app creates a strength reminder for two days a week, and your workouts sit next to the rest of your activity.
Fasting and GLP-1
If you take a GLP-1, the app does not suggest fasts longer than 12 hours. Fasting longer, and especially if you also use insulin or other glucose-lowering drugs, should only be done with your doctor: the risk of low blood sugar and dehydration is real.
For your appointment
You can bring your doctor a PDF report with your doses, symptoms, weight and meals. One every 6 months is free when you have enough data for a fairly complete report; with Plus, as many as you want.
What the app does not do
- It does not prescribe, change or suggest doses.
- It does not sell or recommend medications or brands.
- It is not a medical device and does not replace your health team.
FAQ
- Does the app tell me which dose to use?
- No. You log the dose your doctor prescribed; the list of usual doses is only there to make logging faster.
- Can I fast while taking semaglutide or tirzepatide?
- Only with your doctor. With a GLP-1, the app does not suggest fasts longer than 12 hours.
- Is it free?
- Yes: doses, sites, symptoms, protein, fluids and the strength reminder are free and ad-free. The PDF report is free once every 6 months when you have enough data; with Plus, unlimited.
- Does it work with any form?
- Yes. It logs the active ingredient and the dose, as a weekly or daily injection or as a pill; pills have no injection site.
